| character name | Agitha
| character age | 10
| gem | Day gem
| reason | Honestly, Agitha would be attracted to both gems, because they're pretty and sparkly. Seriously, though, between her sunny, wholesome disposition and her non-aversion to all things creepy and crawly, she could go either way. However, in Hyrule Warriors, her parasol was a Light element weapon, which put her in the same class as Princess Zelda, Fi, and Link wielding the freakin' Master Sword. So I'm going to say that puts her over on the day gem side.
| wings | Larger versions of the decorative wings on the back of her dress, and even more glittery (if that's even possible).
| personality | Agitha is... special.
Ten years old, with no family to speak of, she does all right by herself. She's self-sufficient and educated, not to mention in possession of apparently limitless wealth. Living alone, however, has given her a lot of time to develop some... interesting hobbies. At some point, Agitha got it into her head that she was more than just a rich kid. She was royalty. But the good kind! The generous and just kind, like Princess Zelda. She acts like you'd expect a small child pretending to be a princess would act. She speaks very formally, stopping just short of using the royal 'we'. She overdoes it on the grace, curtseying for everyone and using lots of dainty hand gestures when she talks.
But what good is a princess without a kingdom to rule? Agitha needed subjects, and for some reason, she picked insects. While it may seem out of character for a proper princess, she finds all manner of creepy crawlies absolutely adorable. Not only that, but she is knowledgeable about all things insects as well. She can easily identify different species, even being able to tell which ones are poisonous just by looking at them. Her expertise on the subject is downright precocious, and she's rather single-minded as a result. Everything is bugs with her. In Hyrule Warriors, for example, she would gleefully announce that she was capturing enemy keeps with the sole intention of making them homes for her cute little six-legged companions. Her fixation on insects can sometimes bring out her spoiled side. If Link doesn't give her all of the golden bugs he currently has with him, she will literally growl at him and say that she knows he's keeping them from her. It's a little creepy. Being an only child and filthy rich means she's used to getting her way. Fortunately, her tantrums are few and far between.
Agitha's love for bugs is telling of her accepting, innocent nature. She is, after all, only a child, and a sheltered one at that. She is oblivious to the strife and chaos going on around her during the events of Twilight Princess, and in Hyrule Warriors she runs around the battlefield giggling and asking her defeated foes if they had fallen asleep. She is one of the few characters who is not afraid of Link while he is in wolf form, instead treating him like a large, friendly puppy. While the sweet girl who shows kindness to all creatures great and small is certainly endearing, it goes without saying that Agitha is extremely naive. She is lucky that Wolf Link wasn't an actual wild beast. It hasn't happened to her yet, thank goodness, but her naivety could get her into trouble someday, either by being taken advantage of, or by ignoring the danger of, say, a giant spider when she's the size of its lunch.
| background | You never learn anything about Agitha's background aside from what can be gleaned by doing her sidequests. She appears to live entirely alone, but in relative comfort. She rewards Link with tons of rupees for bringing her bugs, and her lavish home and clothing suggests that she's fairly rich as far as Hyrule Castle Town residents go.
HEADCANON TIME: While she is clearly not royalty, it's likely that she comes from a line of nobles. Her parents, sadly, are not around anymore, and as the only surviving member of the family, Agitha inherited their estate. Her parents, being great advocates for the arts and sciences, also left behind an impressive library and instilled in Agitha a love of learning. With no financial hardship, she spent most of her time reading, which is where she came upon her first book on entomology. She was immediately hooked. She devoured everything she could find on bugs, and when she exhausted her library she ventured outside in search of the real thing. She captured bugs to study, but became more fond of playing with them than mounting them in shadowboxes. She soon created an elaborate game in which she was the princess of the bug kingdom, and all of the bugs she captured were guests in her castle (house). As she had nothing better to do, she devoted all of her time to playing princess, even turning her house into an indoor garden to better accommodate her citizens. Slowly, it became more than just a game. Agitha knew it was her destiny to be Princess of Insects!
ACTUAL CANON TIME: She even dragged a hapless passerby named Link into it when he wandered into her house one day. Dressed in green, Agitha mistook him for a grasshopper at first, but then realized it was a sign. You see, she had recently invited pairs of golden bugs to her castle, but none of them had arrived. Clearly, they had gotten lost along the way. Mr. Grasshopper would be the one to find and escort her guests to the most extravagant ball the insect kingdom had ever seen! So, she sent him off on this most noble of quests. Link apparently did not seem to mind, especially since she rewarded him handsomely with every golden bug he delivered to her.
And that is the tale of Princess Agitha. No, really, that's it. She exists solely for one side quest in Twilight Princess.
| timeline | At some point after Link brings all 24 golden bugs to her 'castle'.
| abilities | Agitha is a perfectly normal little girl who just so happens to have an extensive knowledge and obsession with insects. She can identify them easily and can tell which ones are dangerous (but she loves them all the same). In Hyrule Warriors she had the ability to summon giant beetles and butterflies to the battlefield, as well as swarms of normal-sized butterflies, but HW is non-canon so she won't have those abilities here. However, she could probably befriend or tame the insects around the tree pretty easily.
She also knows how to pick locks for some reason. She claimed termites taught her how to do it.
| inventory | Agitha is bringing the clothes on her back, her parasol and her basket, which contains a few empty glass bottles.

[Agitha appears in the mirror, smiling as bright as usual and ready to address her loyal subjects.]
Hello, everyone! I do hope that you all remember that the royal tea party is tomorrow! There will be plenty of tea and treats for all! I expect everyone to be on their very best behavior, of course! We must all share the bounties that the tree had provided for us.
[She taps one finger against her chin and looks off into the distance briefly.]
Hmm... I believe that's everything for now. I hope to see you tomorrow! Good night, li'l lovelies!

It was a lovely place, earthy and warm. She was alone, but she felt welcome somehow. The feeling grew stronger as she gazed at the column of light in the center of the room. Agitha could feel it in her heart that she belonged here. Surely, if her hosts had left this beautifully wrapped gift out for her, it was true?
She turned to explore, her eyes immediately falling on the yellow gemstone. Oh, how it sparkled! She skipped over to it and stared into it, utterly enchanted. Slowly, she reached out and placed one hand against its surface... and let out a gasp as a piece of it broke right off into her hand. How awful of her, to break something as a guest in this lovely place!
"E-excuse me!" She quickly turned around to seek out someone to apologize too. "I'm so terribly sorry but I... I..."
She trailed off as she noticed that something was different. The air behind her dragged as she turned, pulling at her. She spun a few times before she caught sight of what it was.
Butterfly wings!
She knew exactly what she was looking at. As soon as she held that gem in her hand, they had appeared like magic. And they were so lovely! A deep pink, matching the decorations on her dress exactly, and glittering like the gem. She was hardly done examining them when she realized that they were fluttering with her thoughts, like they were a part of her. Agitha could hardly contain her excitement as a squeal of joy escaped her. These were more than mere decoration. Perhaps, then, if they were real...
She willed her wings to move, and sure enough as they did, her feet left the ground. What a strange and wondrous feeling! Now that she had her own wings, she could join her fellow butterflies in flight! If only she could find some right now. Where ever she was. She looked to the column of light again, seeing the opening in the ceiling that it came from. She was too small to climb up, of course, but that was no issue anymore. Without a second thought, Agitha fluttered upwards into the light. Perhaps, above, her loyal subjects were awaiting her!
